Code of Ethics

It is very important to me to adhere to best practice coaching code of conduct and ethics.  This ensures the integrity of the profession and creates a safe space for the coaching relationship to develop.

This involves what I like to call the 5 Cs:

Contract
Each client receives a coaching agreement/ contract before our first session, so they are very clear what the process involves and what coaching is and isn’t.

Confidentiality
Any information given (on the phone, via email or in person) is kept safe

Continuing Professional Development
I attend Coaching CPD once a month to ensure my skills remain sharp and that I am aware of the latest trends in coaching.  This involves going to an ICF Coaching Circle or the PSG Quality Coaching Circle, where I meet with other coaches.  I’m also in a Coaching Bookclub, who meet every month to discuss any books related to personal development

Coaching supervision
This is where I meet a “supervisor” to discuss my practice, any blocks or triggers I need to be aware of and overall make sure that my coaching is on track

Constant upskilling
I love learning and am a bit of a course addict!  My most recent one was the Postgraduate Certificate in Creativity, Innovation & Entrepreneurship in UCD.  For 2020, as I move more into the Dating Coaching space, I have signed up to the Relationship Coaching course with the Irish Lifecoach Institute.
